The squash league season runs from September to March. Social squash is also played throughout the year. There are two squash courts, which last autumn were totally refurbished with new front wall and floors, re-skimmed side and back walls, glass doors and state of the art LED lights, giving us national standard playing facilities. Apart from the membership fee the only cost is tokens for the lights which currently cost €1 for 30 minutes.

We have about 90 active players and standards range from beginner to international. In 2016-17 there were five men’s Leinster League teams, one ladies team, one veterans team and two Saturday League teams, so that anyone who would like to play competitively at any level will have a good chance of doing so. There is an active online ladder onto which new members can challenge at any time, and court booking is all online. Finally we run a regular rolling “box league” where groups of about 5 around the same level of ability play each other over about 6 weeks – this means you can get regular games and meet new opponents.

The squash section runs a number of events throughout the season. The Club Championships are held at the end of each season, there is usually a tournament at Christmas and other informal events are held in the course of the year. Training and coaching sessions are also organized from time to time.

Friday night is social night for players who want to come down to play squash and have a drink in the bar afterwards.
